Collection: Jalisco

Like the charro suit, Jalisco's traditional women's clothing originated in colonial times. Indigenous women began to adopt elements of Spanish fashion, such as long dresses, petticoats, and hats.

In its beginnings, the typical Jalisco woman's dress was simple and austere. It was made of cotton fabric and was decorated with simple embroidery. Over time, the design included bright colors, and the embroidery became more complex and detailed.
