The Oaxacan Amuzgo Huipil is a traditional tunic crafted by joining multiple pieces of fabric. Depending on the design, some huipiles feature two pieces while others are made with three. These pieces are then joined together, leaving an opening for the arms. Unlike other garments, the huipil is not meant to be form-fitting or accentuate body curves. You may choose to wear a belt or shawl around the waist to add a personal touch to your look.
