These earrings are handcrafted by master artisans in Oaxaca, Mexico, where generations of textile and weaving traditions come together in a single wearable piece.
At the center of each earring sits a woven wicker base — a nod to the ancient basket-weaving heritage of Oaxaca. Crowning it is a handcrafted wool flower. Resting at the base, a Tlacoyal pom-pom — made from hand-spun wool using time-honored colorants — completes the composition, grounding each earring in the textile identity of the region.
The Tlacoyal is a symbol of Oaxacan pride, and its presence here bridges generations of craft into a single wearable heirloom. No two pairs are exactly alike. That is the nature — and the beauty — of true handcraft.
