Beautiful Filigree Earrings hand made by Artisans of Oaxaca.
Filigree is a technique that dates 3000 yrs. BC brought to Mexico by the Spaniards in the 1500's. It has literally - spun - diverse cultures around the world.
This piece combines both the Filigree talents of Oaxacan goldsmiths with hand made fabric flower tassels.
Filigree: Each piece is meticulously created out of copper wire and spun into a beautiful lace design that is then dipped in a thin veil of 22-carat gold. Over time they will develop a distinct patina.
